John W. Adams, 75, died at his home in Vancouver Saturday afternoon, following a long illness. He had resided in Vancouver for the past 19 years, coming here from Walla Walla where he was employed by the U. S. government as a painter. He worked at his trade in Vancouver for some time, painting buildings at Vancouver Barracks, then he became a S. P. & S. employee, working for a number of years in the local shops. He was a member of the Order of Railway Employees of this city and was affiliated with the Old Fellows encampment at Walla Walla. Mr. Adams and Mrs. Mary A. Tempes , of Vancouver were married here in 1924. Mrs. Adams survives, as does one sister, Mrs. A. Kiser, of Seattle. Funeral services will be held at Kanpp's Funeral Service chapel tomorrow at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Herbert F. Jones officiating. Odd Fellows will have charge of commitment services at Park Hill cemetery.
