Annie Lee Wilson, 89, 833 Jones Avenue, Rockmart, died Sunday in a Rome Health Care Center following a lengthy illness. She was born on May 9, 1902, in Paulding County and was a member of the White Oak Springs Church in Paulding County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus and Della Carden Caldwell; husband, Oscar Wilson; two sons, Gene and Julian Wilson. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bobby Jean Backers, Rome; Mrs. Jessie Baggett, Dallas; four sons, Jack Wilson, Kenneth Wilson and Ronald Wilson, all of Rockmart; Harvey M. Wilson, Cedartown; one brothers, Earnest Caldwell, Douglasville; three sister, Mrs. Audie Mae Laggett, Yorkville; Mrs. Nora Hannah, Dallas and Mrs. Florence Braswell, Villa Rica; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 17 in Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Delton Harne and Rev. Carlton Duke officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers included Barry Wilson, Joe Baggett, Tim Wilson, Walter Wilson, Larry Benson and Howard Alexander. The Alvis Miller Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
