Mrs. Maude Lee Acklin, 73, a former resident of the Oak Hill Community near Many, died Monday, Jan. 11, at 8:30 a.m., at the Homer Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Acklin had lived at 609 N. 5th Street in Homer for many years, with her husband, D. L. Acklin, who preceded her in death some eight years ago.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 3 p.m., in the Chapel of the First National Funeral Home. The Rev. George Hall, pastor of the First Baptist Church, was the officiating minister, assisted by the Rev. Stanton. Interment was in Arlington Cemetery.

Survivors are their daughters, Mrs. Mattie A. Tarpley, and Mrs. Gnettie Gordon, both of Homer, and Mrs. Dona Mae McComic of Minden; two sons, Louie Acklin, Homer, and Drew Acklin, Minden; one sister, Mrs. Ida Mae Valentine of Minden; three brothers, W. H. Lee, and E. D. Lee, Athens, and Dock Lee of Minden; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were nephews, Carlton Lee, Wilbur Lee, Dallas
Anderson, Ardis Anderson, Harvey Lee, and Homer D. Acklin.
