Services for Mrs. Francesca Verace, 86, 1315 Alpine Road, who died 11:15 a.m. in her home after a long illness, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Anthony Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7 o'clock Friday night.
Mrs. Verace was born in St. Stefano Del Sole, Italy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marino Calacurcio. She married Luigi Verace in 1887 in Italy and came to Rockford 31 years ago. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish.
Surviving are three sons, Vincent, with whom she had made her home, Charlie, and Louis, all of Rockford; two brothers, Frank and Pasquale Calacurcio, both of Rockford. Her husband died in 1933.
