Mrs. Sarah Kinkaid, widow of Albert D. Kinkaid, passed away about 7 o'clock Tuesday evening at the hospital in the Tri-Cities, where she had been a patient for the past five months. The daughter of George & Temperance (Hively) Adams, Sarah Adams Kinkaid was born in Warren county July 17, 1876. As a young girl she joined with the Christian church at Gerlaw. Her entire life was lived in Warren and Henderson counties. On October 24, 1894 she was married to Albert D. Kinkaid, who preceded her in death in 1940. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Rachael K. Zielke of Little York and three sons, Frank A. of Little York, George V. of Moline and Walter D. of Oquawka. There are twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Kinkaid also leaves her father, who is 94 and resides here; three sisters Mrs. Jane Adams of Omaha, NE; Mrs. Grace Upton of Ft. Madison, IA; and Mrs. Dorothy Kersey of this city; and six brothers, Harvey, Arthur, John, James, Henry, and Frank Adams. She was preceded in death by her mother and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Nagel and Mrs. Nancy Stull. Mrs. Jane Adams is expected to arrive in Monmouth today. Funeral services are to be held at the Sloan Funeral home at 2 p.m. Funeral in charge of the Rev. Paul Howe of the Little York Methodist church.
