B. J. "JAKE" ADAMS
Died Tuesday evening at his resident [sic] in Ruston following a lengthy illness. He was 92 years old, a native of Karnack, Tex.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Ann Luttrell Adams, Ruston; five sons, Howard H. Adams, Ruston, Lewis Adams, Odessa, Tex., Morris Adams, Biloxi, Miss., B. H. Adams, Jr., Columbia, La., Tommy Adams, Texarkana, Ark.; five daughters, Mrs. Norman Moncrief, Ruston, Mrs. Hugh Driggers, Magnolia, Ark., Mrs. Lloyd Bowman, Magnolia, Ark., Mrs. Morgan Walker, Magnolia, Miss., Mrs. James D. Chaifant, Cleveland, Ohio; 31 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren.
He was a retired employee with Ohio Oil Co., and was a member of the Clay Methodist Church, charter member of the El Karuba Shrine Temple of Shreveport, and a 32nd Degree Mason.
