Thomas Hawley was the son of REV. THOMAS & ABIGAIL GOLD HAWLEY. He married Elizabeth Gold Jan. 13, 1747/8.

Their children: John Gold Hawley, Ebenezer Hawley, Thomas Hawley, Hezekiah Hawley, Deacon Elisha Hawley, Talcott Hawley, and Joseph Hawley.

THE HAWLEY FAMILY: This long line of stones belong to The Rev. and Mrs. Thomas Hauley and their descendants. Mr. Hauley was the first minister, first town clerk, and first teacher in Ridgefield. 1. Talcott Hawley. 2. Talcott Hawley's Revolutionary War monument. 3. Ebenezer Hawley, son of Thomas and Keziah Hawley. 4. Elizabeth Wilson, wife of Ezekiel Wilson but the stone also appears to say she was former wife of Capt. Thomas Hawley (who is next to her). Capt. Hawley was married to Elizabeth Gold, according to one account. 5. Capt. Thomas Hawley. 6. John Gould Hawley (or John Gold Hawley). 7. Abigail Gold Hawley, wife of Thomas Hawley. 8. The Rev. Thomas Hauley (he died in 1738, and this slate monument may be the oldest extant gravestone in Titicus Cemetery; it is certainly one of the very earliest. It is also in excellent condition, a tribute to the carver and his selection of stone.) 9. Ezekiel Hauley. 10. Lt. Joseph Hauley. 11. Ebennezer (sic) Hauley, 12. 12. Deborah Keeler Hawley, wife of Deacon Ebenezer Hawley. 13. Julia Ann, daughter of Uriah and Betsey Scribner. 14. Ebenezer Hawley (d. 1821). 15. Ebenezer Hawley's Revolutionary monument. 16. Charles Henry Hawley. 17. Ebenezer Hawley (d. 1837). 18. Edward Hawley. 19. Thomas Hawley (d. 1840) (He has a Revolutionary War monument, too difficult to label in this picture, but barely visible between 12 and 13 in distance.) 20. Keziah Hawley, wife of Thomas Hawley. Her stone at the very north edge of the cemetery is overgrown with weeds, vines and shrubs.
