Rhoda was born in Hayesville, NC to Roger and Margaret Bell McClure Mosteller. She married Charles Edward "Ed" Deardorff in Vancouver, WA in 1940. Ed died in 1966. Rhoda's granddaughter, Linda Moss, also predeceased her.
Rhoda lived in the Eugene-Springfield area for 68 years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, crocheting, visiting, and spending time with family. Survivors include three daughters, Betty Foster of Long Beach, CA; Helen Burgess and Nellie May Byrum, both of Springfield, a brother, Henry Mosteller of Hayesville, NC; four sisters, Julie Dowell of Vader, WA, Ethel Dreiling of Portland, Fannie Barnes of Imperial Beach, CA, and Emma Bloom of Springfield, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Entombment will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Springfield Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
