Harry Brownfield Killed
A dispatch from Weir to the Pittsburg Headlight says:
"This morning at 6 o'clock the body of Harry Brownfield of Weir was found by a Frisco train crew on the Frisco tracks at Daisy Hill, one mile north of Weir. The crew reported its finding to the agent at Weir at 8 o'clock.

It is presumed that Brownfield, who is a restaurant keeper in Weir, was run over by the Frisco train at 1:30 last night. He had probably gone to sleep on the track. The 1:30 passenger is the only train that could have killed him.
The last seen of Brownfield was at 10 o'clock last night. At that time he was with a party of friends at the Idle Hour park. He was then somewhat drunk, and it is presumed that he lost his senses before he got to Weir and fell asleep on the tracks where he was later killed.

About three weeks ago Brownfield was struck by an electric car and hurt severely. He ran the Hays restaurant here.

Harry was born in this city and is the grandson of the late Captain Brownfield of this city, and son of James Brownfield. After the death of his father and grandfather, the widow and three children settled on Daisy Hill a mile north of Weir. The mother of Harry died a few months ago.
The funeral took place on Tuesday and interment was made in the Cherokee cemetery.
