Wilma K. Zurfluh, age 89, Albany died Friday, February 10, 2006 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe. Wilma was born October 19, 1916 in Mount Pleasant Township, Green County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Will and Rose (Bryner) Spring. She attended Oak Shade Rural School and married Fred Zurfluh on November 18, 1937 at the Monticello Parsonage. Wilma and Fred farmed in Mount Pleasant Township until retiring in 1967. She was a member of Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello.
Survivors include five children, Jeanette (William) Minch, Grand Rapids, MI, Frederick (Julie) Zurfluh, Albany, Juanita (John) Hefty, Denver, CO, Roger (Barbara) Zurfluh, Monticello, and William (Kay) Zurfluh, Brooklyn; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred in 1973; a son, Neil in 1945; a grandson, Daniel Zurfluh in 1994; and a brother, Willis Spring.
Funeral services on Saturday, February 18, 2006, at the Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello, with Rev. Lawrence Balleine officiating. Interment in Highland Cemetery, Monticello. Friends called at the church on Saturday prior to services. A memorial fund will be established in Wilma's name. The Voegeli—Newcomer Funeral Home, Monticello is assisting the family.
