A native of Lowell, Mass., she was born Sept. 8, 1891, the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Adeline Scannell and had resided in Portsmouth for the past 47 years.
She had operated a beauty parlor on Congress St. for many years and later at her home.
Mrs. Wilbur was a member of the Piscataqua Business and Professional Women's Club, the Hairdressers Assn., The Garden Club and the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
Besides her husband survivors include a daughter, Mrs. L. D. (Virginia) Turner of San Antonio, Tex.; a son Sgt. 1.C. Gerald A. Wilbur, USA, stationed at Fort Sill, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. Adeline Whalen of New London, Conn. and five grandchildren.
