Mrs. Louie (Florence “Hockey”) Albers, 59, of 346 W. Mains St., Hilbert, died Tuesday evening, April 12, at Calumet Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness.

Born May 2, 1917 in Menasha, she was the daughter of Mrs. Mary and the late Frank Hackstock. She married Louie Albers on June 27, 1950 in Menasha. They lived in rural Hilbert until 1972 when they moved to the Village of Hilbert and owned and operated Albers’ Bar and Hotel.
Mrs. Albers was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers Society and the American Legion Auxiliary, all of Hilbert.

She is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. Mary Hackstock, Menasha; a daughter, Miss Kathy Albers, Hilbert; a son, Terry, Hilbert; two grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Janssen, Little Chute; Mrs. Albert (Verna) Muench, Neenah; Miss Rose Hackstock, Menasha; and a brother, Frank Hackstock, Menasha. She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Hilbert, the Rev. Anthony Birdsall presiding. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
