Harry C. Belka, 76, died at Crete Municipal Hospital March 24. He was born Nov. 28, 1901 to Adolph and Anna (Sedlacek) Belka.
He married Helen Santin at Columbus on April 9, 1924. He farmed and worked in masonry in the construction industry. Belka served on the city council and as a past Secretary of the Fair Board.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Helen, a son, Duane, a sister, Sylvia, and a brother, Bert.
His survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Kuebler of Crete, brothers, John of Dorchester, Adolph of Deerfield, Ill,; a sister, Ms. Alice Longnecker of Crete; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
