Funeral services were held Thursday, August 16, for Helen Santin Belka, who died August 14 at the Crete Hospital after a lingering illness.

The Rev. Jim Tomlison officiated at the services held at the Kuncl Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in the Crete Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Belka was born on a farm near Palmer, Nebraska, on March 10, 1898. She was the eldest daughter of James and Antonia Santin. She was united in marriage to Harry C. Belka on April 9, 1924. They lived on a farm near Pleasant Hill until 1934 when they moved to Crete.

She is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Kuebler, four grandchildren, one great-grandson, two sisters, Alice Santin of Grand Island and Mrs. Anna Fuss of Central City; two brothers, Edward and James Santin of Palmer

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
