Born at Trenton, N.J., she lived in Alabama before moving to Jonesboro in 1990. In 1991 she joined the Jonesboro Police Department. She served as the school resource officer at Philadelphia Elementary School, was a member of the JPD Crisis Response Team, was a past vice president of the Jonesboro Fraternal Order of Police and was a counselor for the City Youth summer programs.
She was a senior vice president of the Jonesboro Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and was active in the Women's Crisis Center of Northeast Arkansas and helped provide security for the Arkansas State University football and basketball teams. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Bo Mitchell and Richard Mitchell, both of Jonesboro; her parents, Frederick and Elsa Crispen of Montgomery; two sisters, Maureen Lynn of Birmingham, Ala., and Christine Mitchell of Wetumpka, Ala.; and her fiance, Michael Wiley of Jonesboro.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Freddy Crispen.
