Funeral Services will be held Sunday, April 3, 2005, 2:00 PM, at Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, Thomaston, GA. Rev. Joey Smith, officiating. Entombment will be at Upson Memorial Gardens, Thomaston, GA. Visitation will be Saturday, April 2, 2005, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home. Mrs. Coates was born on February 09, 1935 in Taylor County, Georgia to the late, Arthur & Nancy Jarrell McCrary. She worked as an aid for Secretary of State, Ben Fortson, for over 22 years. Survivors include, spouse, Mr. Ron Coates; brother, Mr. Lamar (Geraldine) McCrary; sisters, Mrs. Doris Weems and Mrs. Betty Holloway, all of Thomaston, GA; 5 nieces and nephews; 11 great nieces and nephews.
