Sonja Louise Ziehm, 47, of Westport, died at 5:03 a.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Dale Ziehm Sr.; her stepfather, Willard Bloom of Mauckport; daughters, Debra (Jason) Young of Westport and Erin (Jose Arroyo Garcia) Arroyo of Clarksville; a son, Ronald Dale Ziehm Jr. of Westport; a sister, Betty Carter of Bardstown, Ky.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Herbert and Georgia Louise Burr Ross.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Main Cross Independent Baptist Church in Charlestown with the Rev. Charlie Jones officiating. Calling will be from noon until service time Friday at the church. Burial will be at Silver Creek Cemetery.

She was born on September 8, 1965 in Jeffersonville, the daughter of Charles Herbert & Georgia Louise (Burr) Ross, Sr. She has lived most of her life in Charlestown and has resided in Westport since 2009. She had graduated from Charlestown High School and Ivy Tech College. She was a member of the Sellersburg VFW, Sellersburg and Charlestown American Legion. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to festivals and playing on her computer.
She married Ronald Dale Ziehm, Sr. in Charlestown on April 15, 1982 and he survives. Survivors include her step father, Williard Bloom of Mauckport; daughters, Debra (Jason) Young of Westport and Erin (Jose Arroyo Garcia) Arroyo of Clarksville; her son, Ronald Dale Ziehm, Jr. of Westport; her sister, Betty Carter of Bardstown, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Mario Ziehm of Westport, Emily Arroyo Garcia of Clarksville, Mikayla Young and Cheyenne Young both of Westport. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Herbert Ross, Jr.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Main Cross Independent Baptist Church in Charlestown with Rev. Charlie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the Silver Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
