Lucy English 95, of Metropolis, died Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Fiorentini and husband Joe of Metropolis, one son, Archie English and wife Shirley of Greeneville, TN; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Mitchell and Joel Fiorentini and wife Lesli all of Metropolis, Kimberly Wynn and husband David of Lucas, TX, Darrin English and wife Holly of Paducah and Daniel English of Fulton, KY, eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; special friend Linda Burnham and several nieces and nephews.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Bertha Graefnitz Hermen; three brothers; George Hermen, Lawrence Hermen and Verl Hermen; three sisters; Evelyn Jones, Beulah Burnham and one infant sister.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 9:30 a.m until 11 a.m at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Rev. Jerry Parr will officiate. Burial will follow at Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Music will be provided by Russell and Melinda Gilbert.
