Sarah Bell Hanson, of Milan, IL, passed away at her home at the age of 91. Sarah was born to William and Grace Stargel Wakefield. She married Floyd Mikles in Iowa in 1937.
Sarah retired from Regal 8 Motel, Moline, in the early 80's, and prior to that she had worked as a cook for the Italian Village, Moline.
Sarah was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Taylor Ridge, and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and word search puzzles.
Survivors include; her children, Fairy Mae Fontenoy, New Boston, IL, Katherine Schuling, WI, Floyd Curtis Mikles, Waukegan, IL, Charles Mikles, WI, and William Fredrick Mikles, WI; 15 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren; special great-granddaughter, Heather Pepper Williamson, Milan; brothers, Clarence Wakefield, Davenport, IA and Everett Wakefield, Rock Island, IL; and sister, Ruth Benz, Centerville, IA.
She was preceded in death by her; parents; husband; daughter, Roberta Ann Mikles; 3 brothers; 4 sisters; and a grandson, Richard R. "Butch" Pepper.
