He was born on October 24, 1944, in Harrison, Michigan to Oshel "Smokey" & Sylvia (Fitzpatrick) Benson. He was employed as Truck Driver for a Pharmaceutical Company. He had lived in Gladwin county most of his life. He is survived by his daughters: Paula & John of St. Clair Shores, MI; Melinda; son Kelly & Sally Benson of Chesaning, MI; 2 grandchildren; special friend: Shirley Bowman of Gladwin, MI; sisters: Karen & Bill Carey of Sanford, MI; Wanda & Joe Swanton of Beaverton, MI; Cindy & Jim Bailer of Coleman, MI; Manie Krevinghaus of Winnepeg, Canada; brother: Randy & Beth Benson of Beaverton, MI; several nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents. According to the wishes of the family cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 5, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Bible Church, Gladwin, Michigan
