Wellington Aaron Miller married Carrie Melissa Clendenin, daughter of Eunice (Lease) and James C. Clendenin, March 7, 1897, in Jones, Newberg Township, Michigan.

"Celebrate Golden Wedding"
Mr. and Mrs. Wellington A. Miller, west of Three Rivers on M60, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Friday, March 7. Their children and grandchildren numbering 40 came to help them celebrate the day.
Sunday afternoon and evening open house was held and guests from Grand Rapids, Cassopolis, Jones, Srurgis, Centreville, Dowagiac, Three Rivers and Constantine paid their compliments to the couple bringing flowers, cards, money, fruit, candy and gold edged china, Karlene Rifenberg completing the gift cycle by bringing them traditional gold fish. Refreshments were served during afternoon and evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Miller have lived in this vicinity the greater part of their lives. Mr. Miller has been in ill health for the past year.

Wellington Aaron Miller, 73, died Sunday at 7:15 P.M. of heart attack in his home in Fabius township.
He was born in Cass county Sept. 28, 1874, a son of John and Sarah Owen Miller. All of his life was spent in Cass and St. Joseph counties. He was a farmer, and for eight years worked for the railroad company.
March 7, 1898, he was married to Carrie M. Clendenin, who survives. He is also survived by three sons, Virgil D. of White Pigeon, Otto L. of Three Rivers, E. Lyle of Constantine, two daughters, Mrs. Velma W. Kundert of Three Rivers, Mrs. S.Seth (sic-should be S.Etah) Hanley of Constantine, 16 grandchildren, one brother, Ernest of Jones, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Geisler Funeral Home Wednesday at two P.M., Rev. Ernest Miller, Marcellus, officiating. Burial at Poe Cemetery.
