Services Held For Mrs. Graham
Mrs. Lillie Graham, 67, who was born and raised in this vicinity, died Tuesday in the Methodist hospital in Sioux City after an illness of about 2 weeks. She had made her home in Sioux City and with her daughter in Salix since 1940.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 Friday afternoon at Sloan and at 2 o'clock at the Free Methodist church in Sioux City with Rev. W. F. Biggerstaff of the Free Methodist church officiating.
Mrs. Graham was born in 1889 in rural Hawarden and lived in this vicinity until her marriage to Pat Graham, superintendent of the Alcester public schools. The couple farmed in the Salix area until his death in 1940.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Cecil Eveleth of Salix; two sisters, Mrs. Ern Bancroft of Hawarden and Mrs. Eva Edson of Alcester; two brothers, Harve Cox of Albany, Ore., and John Cox of Havre, Mont.; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
