Mrs. Mary Catherine Bussard Specht, 97, formerly of Feagaville, died Friday, Dec. 3, at College View Center, Frederick.

She was the wife of George Dallas Specht who died Dec. 20, 1981.

Born March 26, 1902, in Wolfsville, she was a daughter of the late John Elmer and Flora Virginia Harshman Bussard.

Mrs. Specht was a member of Frederick Church of the Brethren.

Surviving are two sons, Paul Specht and wife Mary of Middletown, and Donald Specht and wife Martha of Frederick; one daughter, Louise Ahalt and husband Ben of Jefferson; one daughter-in-law, Mildred Specht of Middletown; one sister, Ellen Bussard of Frederick; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Specht was preceded in death by two children, Catherine Rice and Charles Specht; four sisters, Sadie White, Nellie Cartee, Elsie Grossnickle and Eva Schroyer; and two brothers, John Bussard and Albert Bussard.

Friends may call anytime Sunday, Dec. 5, at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, at the funeral home, with Mrs. Specht's pastor, the Rev. Lerry Fogle, officiating.

Interment will be in Harmony Cemetery, Myersville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harmony Cemetery Fund, c/o Martha Forrest, Brethren Church Road, Myersville, Md. 21769.
