Sheldon, Mo., Aug. 28.--Carl Agren, 52, farmer, died today after a truck collision near here. Melburn Lamb, Wichita, Kas., driver of the other truck figuring in the crash, was reported recovering at a local hospital.

TRUCK DRIVER INJURED IN CRASH NEAR SHELDON TAKEN TO SPRINGFIELD

Wilburn Lamb, truck driver who was injured in the crash at Sheldon Wednesday which cost the life of Carl Agreen, was taken to the home of an uncle in Springfield Wednesday evening, Sheriff C. N. Dutton said Thursday morning. Twenty-six stitches were required to close the wound in Mr. Lamb's back, Sheriff Dutton said, but his condition is reported satisfactory.
One report of the accident from Sheldon was that Mr. Agreen, driving a truck loaded with hay, approached U.S. Highway No. 71 from the east and turned north on the highway but drove his truck across the center line and before he could turn back to the right side of the slab was struck by the northbound mercantile truck loaded with cotton and driven by Mr. Lamb.
