Professional Football Player. For five seasons (1973 to 1977), he played at the defensive end position in the National Football League with the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins. Raised in Newport News, Virginia where he attended Huntington High School, he played collegiate football at Tennessee State University. Selected by the Eagles during the 7th-round of the 1973 NFL Draft, he appeared in 55 games. During his career, Wynn was widely known throughout the league for his agility which is a rarity at the defensive end position. He produced 8 forced fumbles and led the NFL with one fumble recovery for which resulted in a touchdown in 1973. After retiring from football, Wynn remained in the Philadelphia-area and worked as a roofer. Additionally, he became highly-active in various charitable causes. He died of complications from heart failure.
