Miss Laura B. Broughton passed away early Sunday morning at the home of her nephew, Mr. Charles B. Bernard, No. 25 Queen Street, after a lingering illness. The deceased was the daughter of the late Thomas G. Broughton, SR., who for a long period of years published the Norfolk and Portsmouth Herald. She was also the aunt of Messrs. A.B. Roberts and John Broughton. The funeral will be held from the residence at 11 o’clock this morning.
