"Girthalee Bogan (nee Brown), 72, of 2190 Ambleside Drive, Cleveland, a former licensed practical nurse, died Monday in the Emergency Room of Elyria Memoral Hospital. She was stricken while visiting friends in Elyria.
A Lorain Native, she was a longtime Cleveland resident. A graduate of the Jane Adams School of Nursing, Cleveland, she worked at Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital and also at the Jewish Convalescent Home. In 1965, she returned to Lorain and worked at Lorain Community Hospital for three years before returning to Cleveland.
She is survived by her husband, Sam; brothers, George Brown of Oberlin, Lancelot Brown of New York City, and Floyd Brown of New Jersey.
Friends may call Thursday 7-9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Lorain, where services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain."
