Miss Berner was born in Germany and came to this country about 22 years ago, taking up her residence in Rochester. For the past five years she has resided with her brother in this city, where she was well known and made a large number of friends, who will be deeply grieved to learn of her death.
Miss Berner was in her usual good health this morning and working about the house, when she was taken ill. Dr. Wilmer Pinnsoneault was at once summoned, but was unable to render any relief.
She is survived by her brother, Ernest Berner of this city, and one sister, Mrs. Ernest May of Rochester.
Miss Berner was a devout Christian and a member for the past five years of the Emmanuel Congregational church of this city.
The funeral will be held at her late residence with her brother Friday afternoon, Rev. H.L. Pyle officiating. The burial will be made in Brookside cemetery.
