Alice Owens Therrell Mrs. Therrell, 93, of Charlotte, NC died Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the Huntersville Oaks. She was born on September 29, 1914 in Stokes County, NC to the late Jesse and Vinnie Owens. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church for 50 plus years, where she was in the Reinhardt Sunday School Class. Mrs. Therrell enjoyed the quilting group and making crafts for the church bizarre. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Howard Grier Therrell; son, Wayne Therrell and wife Anna of Huntersville; sister, Betty Wright of Westfield, NC; and grandchildren, Lane and Mark Therrell. Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1915 Oakdale Rd., Charlotte, NC 28216. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Rex Gibbs and Rev. Wes Judy officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Raymer Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC is serving the family.
