1948 OBIT When the Curtain Falls
Services for E.E. Addison, 68, who died at 11 p.m. March 31, at the Frederick Clinic Hospital, were held in the Gish Memorial chapel at 4 p.m. Thursday in charge of Rev. Harry Hubbard, pastor of the Christian church. Burial was in the Frederick cemetery. Addison has been in failing health some time and several weeks ago suffered a paralytic stroke, at his home 303 S 11, from which he never recovered. Ernest Eugene Addison was born in Dexter, Texas, Sept. 15, 1880 where he was reared and attended school. He was married in 1898 to Lillie Jane Mapp. He and family came to Frederick in 1922 which has since been his home. For a time he was associated with Ebb Flynt in the dry goods business where, he had also been employed as a salesman for the JC Penny store and other establishments and for several years representing a shoe company. Survivors in addition to his wife are these sons and daughters: Mrs. Franklin Henderson, Wichita Falls, Texas; Dexter Addison, Wichita Falls; Miss Pearle Addison, Lawton; Paul B Addison, Borger, Texas; Mrs. Charles T. Davis, San Bernardino, Calif. Addison was devoted to his family and was a splendid citizen and his passing saddens all who knew him. (Frederick Press, OK; Fri Apr 9, 1948; p.4)
