MRS. LILA KENYON, 46, WEST HOMER STREET, PASSES AWAY YESTERDAY
Lila Kenyon, wife of C. F. Kenyon of 817 West Homer Street passed away at a local hospital yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Kenyon, whose maiden name was Lila Bechtold, was born in Freeport on October 25, 1879, having been the oldest daughter of Isaac Bechtold, a former resident of Stephenson county and now residing at Cambridge Springs, PA. She was united in marriage to Chas. F. Kenyon on September 8, 1896. Two children were born to this union one son, Harold, having passed away on October 19, 1925. One daughter, Mildred, survives......She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: A. F. Bechtold, Redwood Falls, Minn.; Henry Bechtold, Cambridge Springs, PA; Mrs. Lottie Heckman, Detroit, Mich.; Troy Bechtold, Mrs. Bertha Cole and Mrs. Jennie Price all of Freeport......Mrs. Kenyon had been a member of the Red Oak M. E. church, having lived in that vicinity for many years prior to moving to Freeport in 1925. Funeral services will be conducted from the late home at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and at 2:30 o'clock from the First M. E. church. Rev. M. D. Obenshain will conduct the services and interment will be made in Oakland cemetery.
