Nancy Morgan "Nannie" McMorries, a daughter of Dr. William Wilson McMorries and the former Miss Jane Caldwell Brown, married Rev. William Moffatt Grier on October 25th 1864. The following children were born to this union:
Robert Livingston (1867-1939)
Laura Erin (1872-1956)
William Moffatt (1874-1941)
Helen Pauline (1876-1972)
Julia Reynolds (1879 - 1882)
Jennie Moffatt (1879-1945)
Ralph Erskine (1881-1974)
Agnes Hemphill (1884-1962)

Nannie McMorries Grier departed this life on the 2nd day of March 1903 at her home in Due West, She was laid to rest beside her husband, Rev. William Moffatt Grier, D.D.
