Roena Bellamy Martin, 88, of Mt. Gilead, North Carolina died Saturday, May 25, 2013 at ForrestOakes Healthcare in Albemarle, North Carolina.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, May 27, 2013 at Hamer Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Ken McRae and Rev. Alex Willoughby will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 Monday afternoon at the church.
Mrs. Martin was born August 16, 1924 in Horry County, South Carolina. She was a daughter of the late Richard Theodore and Addie Orilla Ray Bellamy. A grandson, Timothy Lee "Timmy" Martin, preceded her in death. She was a member of Hamer Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Donald Lee Martin of Mt. Gilead, a granddaughter, Lorie Martin Thompson of Mt. Gilead, and two great-grandsons.
