Mr. Gordon Chester Stottlemyer, 55 died Sunday, January 29, at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma unit, Baltimore. Born November 11, 1928 in Middlepoint, Mr. Stottlemyer was the son of Mrs. Lillian K. Mellott, Myersville. Mr. Stottlemyer had been employed on a dairy farm and had worked in construction. Surviving besides his mother are one son, Larry Stottlemyer, and the following brothers and sisters, Ellen N. Jackson, of Virginia, George M. Stottlemyer of Myersville, Vernon L. Stottlemyer of Frederick, Roy A. Stottlemyer and one brother and one sister still living. Mr. Stottlemyer donated his body to science. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, February 5 at the Grossnickle Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Ronald A. Beverlin will officiate.
