Lois Margaret Moran (nee Renwick) passed away peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Tues., Aug.11, 2009. She was 80 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late Malcolm "Bud" Moran

Grandchildren, Mark Moran, Jonas, Spencer and Jared Dawson, Scott and Blain Moran, Ian (Jen), Evan and Alix Tait, Craig, Colin and Jordan Moran, James and Conor Moran and great-grandchildren Logan and Dylan Tait, will remember Lois with great affection.

She was a dear sister of Betty Forward of Chesterville and was predeceased by her sisters Opal Thorpe, Wilda Foley, Mary McAdam, and brothers Glen, Fred, Ed, and Stan Renwick. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Ruth.
Lois was born on May 17, 1929 in Dalkeith, Glengarry County. A pretty redhead, she was the fifth of ten children born to Russell Renwick and Lilly Anne MacKenzie.
Lois was the family matriarch. Her life was centered around her family. She developed a great love of sports from watching her children and grandchildren participate in countless ball and hockey games. Throughout her life, Lois was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
She had many dear friends from her work at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital, and throughout the community. After her retirement, Lois enjoyed travel, line dancing, theatre, and especially summers by the St. Lawrence River.
Funeral service was held at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg on Fri., Aug. 14. Rev. Wendy Wright MacKenzie officiated. Internment followed at St Anne's Cemetery in Dixon's Corners. Pallbearers were Ian Tait, Jonas Dawson, Mark, Scott, Craig and James Moran. Honourary pallbearers were Spencer and Jared Dawson, Evan and Alix Tait, Blain, Colin, Jordan, and Conor Moran
The family wishes to acknowledge the kindness and care Lois received from the many nurses and staff at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital and from Dr. Beth Rivington.
Memorial donations to Winchester District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
