News of the death of Mrs. Amalia Hogue, wife of J. Watt Hogue, of Globe, was received here yesterday by Mr. Hogue and a niece of Mrs. Hogue, Mrs. C.A. Martin.
Mrs. Hogue's death occurred at San Diego, Calif., at 1 o'clock Sunday morning last, a sister, Mrs. A. M. Adams, of Globe, being present. Mrs. Hogue went to California several weeks ago in the interest of her declining health.
She is survived by the husband, a brother, F.A. Etrick of Dodge City, Kans., in addition to the other relatives mentioned. Mrs. Hogue was a prominent member of the Order of Eastern Star, Globe chapter.
The body will be brought to Globe for funeral services and burial announcement of date and hour to be made later by the Jones Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hogue had a wide acquaintance among Globe citizens who will regret to hear that she is dead. She was a woman of quiet mien, but made many close friends whose sympathies will go out to the husband, brother and sister and niece in their home of bereavement.
