PVT CO M 10 IN CAV CIVIL WAR
Oldest child of George W. Armstrong & wife Nancy S. Corn, who had both died before Andrew entered the war.
He was in the 10th Indiana Cavalry along with his cousin Richard A. Armstrong (and probably other cousins from Dubois County, as well). Andrew was captured and sent to Cahaba Confederate Prison in Alabama, where he died. His cousin Richard was able to live a long life and retired to Kansas in his later years.
