Mrs. Mary Horton Huntley, 89, died Thursday, May 23, 2013, at her home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 26th, at Campground United Methodist Church, with Rev. Larry Haggard officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Porter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Campground Methodist Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Huntley was born February 9, 1924, in Pascagoula, MS. She was a homemaker, and former owner of Huntley's Grocery in Louisville. She was a member of Campground United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. C. Huntley, Jr. and her parents, Mable Scott and William Edgar Horton.
She is survived by two daughters, Martha Fleming of Louisville, and Brenda Petro of Mandeville, LA; two sons, William Dean Huntley, Sr, and Jimmy C. Huntley, both of Louisville; a sister, Patricia Horton of Iuka, MS; a brother, Gary Horton of Columbus, MS; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Dean Huntley, Jr., Lee Fleming, Michael Huntley, Justin Huntley, Clark Huntley, and Brent Gohring. Memorials may be made to Campground United Methodist Church, c/o Becky Waddell, 4431 Young Crossing Road, Louisville, MS, 39339 or the Methodist Children's' Home.
