PEYTON BARBOUR BLOXTON'S PARENTS:

THOMAS LAURENCE/LAWRENCE BLOXTON (b. 1836 in VA; d. 1908) (fought in Civil War; "Principal Williamsburg Farmer")

+ m. 1st Miss SARAH BARBOUR BROWNE BLOXTON of Williamsburg, VA. They had two sons:

a. PEYTON BARBOUR BLOXTON
b. FLOYD NELSON BLOXTON

"THE BLOXTON FAMILY - RE-INTERRED FROM A PRIVATE CEMETERY - DEC. 5, 1990" Thomas Laurence Bloxton and his Family re-interred from their Family Cemetery on his farm a mile from William & Mary College, Williamsburg, VA, where he was listed as a "Principal Williamsburg Farmer". All three adults (Thomas and both his wives) and three sons (the two oldest children by Miss Sarah Barbour Browne and the youngest child by Miss Mollie Williamson Ware) were buried on the farm or plantation. Mary Ware Stevens Greene had them moved to Bruton Parish Churchyard (in sight of The College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, VA) because it was so hard to maintain the cemetery, since she lived 150 miles away. There is a raised "bench" marker with a "Bloxton Family" plaque on top in a cemetery addition on the church grounds. Ms. GodSon sent me scanned photos from the church of this marker.
