Teasdale, Utah - Our kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and nurse, Carla Jean Williams Coleman, age 49, died May 22, 2013 at her home in Teasdale, surrounded by her loving family and close friends, after a very brave and valiant five year battle with cancer.

She was born September 20, 1963 in Panguitch, Utah, a daughter of Everett J. and Carolyn Grace Barney Williams. She grew up in Teasdale and enjoyed living there. She married Jeffrey Wayne Coleman, August 12, 1983.

Carla graduated with the Class of 1981 from Wayne High School. She continued to further her education and earned her RN Degree and was able to work in the EMS and Nursing field for 20 years. Carla had a deep love and compassion for nursing and was loved by all those she served. One of her greatest pleasures was when she was able to share her skills while training the new nurses that were going through the nursing program. She was always available for anyone who needed her; she was a caregiver and friend to all who knew her.

Carla had a love for the outdoors including: boating, hiking, riding four wheelers, jeep rides on the mountain, and most of all, gathering firewood. She enjoyed and loved being with her family every moment she could. She had a passion for bicycling which included an annual 50 Mile Hite Ride and many other rides she and her sister Michelle could find to sign up for.

Carla is survived by her caring husband, Jeff, of Teasdale; her three daughters: RandiSue and Bary Barney of Monroe; Danielle and Shaun Albrecht, and Heather Coleman, all of St. George; four grandsons: Brogan Barney, Kydan Barney, Daitan Barney and Treyson Albrecht; brothers and sisters: Kendal Williams, Michelle and Greg Coleman, Chad and Stephanie Williams, all of Teasdale; Joni and Kim Hardy of Plymouth; Vivian Bitahy of Snowflake, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Carolyn and Everett Williams and her parents-in-law: Kell and Shirley Coleman.

In lieu of flowers, Carla requested that donations be made to the Teasdale Christmas Lights' Fund in care of American West Bank in Loa.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in the Loa LDS Stake Center. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Monday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the Stake Center in Loa, Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 12:30 prior to the services.
