Mary Gladis Moppin Jones, 82, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, died May 23, 2013 at Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville. She was born January 7, 1931 at Best, Arkansas, the daughter of William and Maude Edmondson Moppin. She was a poultry farmer, a member of the Valley Lighthouse Church in Hindsville and the widow of Jay Winfred Jones who preceded her in death on March 12, 1985. She was also preceded in death by one brother, six sisters, one son-in-law and one great-grandson.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Imogene Moppin of Elkins, Arkansas and Jay Edwin and Janet Jones of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three daughters and one son-in-law, Lucy and Danny Burgess and Louise Kelley, all of Springdale, Arkansas and Bertha Grand of Fayetteville, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Tuesday, May 28, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverend Jimmy Bennett officiating. Interment will be in the Austin Cemetery at Best, Arkansas under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Greg Campbell, A. J. Jones, Eric Burgess, Matt Martin, Jeff Lindsey, Jerry Moppin and Dale Wade. Honorary pallbearers will be: David Shelby, Derrick Moore, Taylor K. Burgess, James Stiles, Zach Buttry, Josh Buttry, Stephen Franks, Copeland Cross, Brance Martin, Jerry Bennett, Diezal Outland, Briar Garrett, Camryon Poole, Taylor R. Burgess and Zach Eagle. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P. M. to 4:00 P. M. on Sunday at the funeral home.
