Pioneer Citizen Joseph Boschert Buried here.

The many friends and his family will regret to learn that he died at his home in Bourbon, Mississippi, on the night of January 1, 1929, a victim of influenza.
Mr. Boschert was born in Germany in 1840 and came to this country as a young man, and first located in Memphis, where he married. Soon after his marriage he moved with his family to Senatobia in 1873 and opened a shoe shop where he made footwear for practically everybody in Senatobia and vicinity for many years and here his raised a large and respected family of 5 boys and 2 girls who survive him. He also had 2 children to die when young and he leaves 19 surviving grandchildren.

There has never been a man who lived in Senatobia who was more highly respected than Mr. Boschert and he was noted for his honesty, truth and industry. His children, who were all 100% Americans, were all reared in Senatobia and Senatobia still loves them and claims them as her own, and there was not a "black sheep" in the bunch.

They are: Will Boschert, Memphis; Joe Boschert, Duncan; John Boschert, Memphis; Bob Boschert, Cleveland; Ferdinand Boschert, Bourbon; Mrs. Katie Boschert Weston and Miss Louise Boschert of Bourbon.

The remains will arrive at Senatobia at 9:45 this morning and the funeral procession will proceed directly to Bethesda Cemetery, where services will be lead by Rev. Green, Pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Senatobia, of which church all of his children were members, and he will be laid to rest by the side of his devoted wife.
