Louis "Junior" Felton, Jr., 81, was born May 17, 1931 to the late Felton, Sr. and Betty Greene in Stampley, Mississippi. He was the sixth of seven children, five of which preceded him in death as well as three sons, Alfred "Butchie" Bartee, Gary Bartee, Ronnie Bartee and one daughter, Joyce "Dube" Bartee.

Junior attended school in Natchez, Mississippi and upon completion of his educational journey he enlisted in the United States Army.

After serving our country, he moved to Kansas City, Missouri where he met his soul mate, Ms. Royce Bartee, who became his wife in 1992. After many blissful years of matrimony, Royce preceded him in death on December 15, 2011. Junior found great comfort in the care taking of his companion for many years.

Junior retired from Montgomery Wards in 1992 after thirty-five years of employment.

Junior loved to cook and entertain family and friends. He found true relaxation and gratification in gardening, landscaping and watching the Royals on television and in the stadium.

Junior departed this life on May 18, 2013 at Kansas City Hospice House.

He will be remembered most for his gentle, friendly ways, his commitment to providing and caring for his family, his warm smile and his giving heart. He leaves forever cherishing his memory: five sons, Tara Bartee, Marcel Bartee, Conrad Bartee (Janet), Tracey Bartee (Andrea) and Mario Bartee (Genise); one daughter, Renee Bartee; brother, John Davis of Natchez, MS; one sister-in-law, Hattie Thornton and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
