Metta Morris Gunn, 85, of the Shiloh section, died Friday afternoon in Radford Community Hospital.
Born Feb. 16, 1906 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Jordan Morris and Lillie Smith Morris, and she was preceded in death by her husband, Romeo Davis Gunn.
She is survived by three daughters, Ella Sue Gunn, Pulaski, Elizabeth Clark, Hurricane, W.Va., Sandra G. King, Pulaski; two sons, R.D. Gunn, Jr., Bluefield, Va., Roger D. Gunn, Rt. 2, Pulaski; four sisters, Claudia Phillips, Kayle Altizer, Lena Graham, all of Dublin, Gertrude Stiltner, Cattleburg, Ky.; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at.11 a.m. from Thomas M. Seagle & Sons, with the Rev. Dean Warren and the Rev. Fred Toney officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. Visiting will be anytime after 3 p.m. Sunday and the family will receive, friends from 7 until 9 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home.
