Roy Leon "Smokey" Huse
SPEARMAN - Roy Leon "Smokey" Huse, 79, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Patrick Six officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Huse resided most of his life in Spearman, but lived with his daughter in Surfside the past few years. He was married to Marietta Huse for 56 years. Survivors include two daughters, Ann Johnston and husband, Doug, of
Surfside and Kay Brook of Oyster Creek; a brother, J.R. Huse of Lubbock; three sisters, Ruby Smith and husband, Bob, and Thelma Fitzhugh, all of Dallas, and Betty Lafferty and husband, Ken, ofConroe; four sisters-in-law, Juanita Tucker and Jeanette Kiker, both of San Angelo, and Doris Beck and Marie Beck, both of Spearman; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; three grandchildren, Kim Bowers and husband, Allen, of Richwood, Kevin Townsend and wife, Terri, of Clute and Shaun Tae Burge and husband, Charles, of Dallas; six great-grandchildren, Erin Bowers, Megan
Bowers, Royce Bowers, all of Richwood, Katelyn Townsend, Brie Townsend and Sam Townsend, all of Clute; and two brothers-in-law, Harold Beck and wife, Ruth, of Dayton, Ohio, and Bill Beck and wife, Maxine, of Perryton.
