Born Sept. 26, 1912, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Roy and Missouri (Bentley) Bayless. She married Glenn "Shine" Dale on Sept. 23, 1931, he preceded her in death on June 3, 1974.
Survivors include three sons, Larry (wife, Joyce) Dale of St. Paul, Morris Dale of Pacific, Mo., and James (wife, Libby) Dale of Salisbury, N.C.; five daughters, Deloris (husband, Phil) Sorrell and Sara Jo (husband, Don) Robinson, both of Shelbyville, Linda Everhart of Shelby County, Janice (husband, Mike) Ruffin of Pleasant View and Joyce (husband, Dennis) Jones of St. Peters, Mo.; one son-in-law, Brian Norris of Shelbyville; two brothers, Richard Bayless of Glenwood and Harry Bayless of London; two sisters, Martha Gross of Waldron and Lois Bayless of Shelbyville; 30 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by two sons, Glenn Dale and Bill Dale; one daughter, Marcia Norris; four brothers; and one sister.
Mrs. Dale was a lifelong Waldron resident.
She was a homemaker and pianist and organist for several churches in the community.
Mrs. Dale graduated in 1930 from Waldron High School.
She was a member of Geneva United Methodist Church, Noble Township Home Economics Club.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Dodd officiating.
Burial will be in Van Pelt Cemetery, in Shelby County.
