Pvt. Abram died of his wounds from small arms fire while serving as an Infantryman with the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division.

He is the son of Mr. Frank & Mrs. Sophia Abram of 13314 Avenue "N" Chicago, Illinois, and he enlisted with the Army in Chicago on 10-16-1943.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, European Campaign Medal with Two Battle Stars, Army Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal.

Footnote: His body was returned to American Soil in May of 1949.
