DIED. In this city, May 8th, DARIUS GENUNG, aged 78 years. Mr. Genung was one among the oldest citizens of New Albany, and was universally esteemed by all who were acquainted with him. Thus one by one the links that bind us with the past are being sundered, and we of the present generation are left to tread the pathway of life without the counsel of our fathers. But, with the example of such as Mr. G. before us, we feel that if we follow the way he has marked we shall go down to the tomb honored by those who survive us. The funeral of Mr. Genung will take place to-morrow, Wednesday afternoon, at 3 o'clock, from John street church. - New Albany Daily Ledger 08 May 1866
