PITKIN - Services for Albert Odom Sr. will be at 10 a.m. today in Hopewell Baptist Church, Pitkin, with the Revs. Alfred Kennedy and James Vandergriff officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery under direction of Rush, Oakdale.
Odom , 74, of Elizabeth died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria.
He was a lifelong resident of Elizabeth and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He worked for Elizabeth Paper Mill for 17 years and retired from the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Department.
Survivors include his wife, Ima Odom of Elizabeth three sons, Albert Odom Jr., Bobby W. Odom and Larry G. Odom , all of Elizabeth two daughters, Wanda Odom Coker and Margie Odom Hathorne, both of Elizabeth one brother, Elbert Odom of Oakdale five sisters, Audrey Brady and Ethel Eason, both of Oakdale, Melia James of Cravens, Nellie Lincoln of Birmingham, Ala., and Gertrude Doyle of Glenmora 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
