Joyce Lynn Stanley, 49, died the afternoon of Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls, Mont., from complications of a brain aneurysm.
Her wake services began Jan. 4, 2009, at the Rocky Boy Senior Citizens Center with her funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, also at the Rocky Boy Senior Citizens Center. Burial will follow at the Rocky Boy Cemetery. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Joyce was born March 12, 1959, in Harlem, Mont., to Martin and Wilma (Meyers) Stanley. She was raised and educated in Rocky Boy, Mont., and was devoted to her cultural beliefs. Joyce enjoyed traveling, attending pow-wows, playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Joyce is survived by her son, Orlando Stanley of Great Falls; her sister, Glenda Stanley Winterrowd of Great Falls; brothers: Clement James Stanley of Great Falls, Thomas Stanley of Rocky Boy, Harvey Stanley of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada; and five grandchildren.
